I have two exciting things to announce – an upcoming NYC show and a future show of a different sort….
First – I invite you all to come hear a preview of some exciting new music which I have written with guitar legend Dave Stryker. We will be playing one night only on Thursday, November 12 at the Kitano Jazz Club on Park Avenue & 38th Street. Two sets – 8:00 and 10:00 p.m.
Second – I am placing my journalist hat back on for a series of interviews focusing on artists, writers, musicians, actors, and even activists! There are so many things to talk about these days in the realm of creativity and innovation, and I hope to bring you some inspiring conversations. I am thrilled to be working in a format which will combine both of my passions AND be able to bring to you stories of the arts and music. You are never going to imagine who we have lined up for future interviews. Stay tuned for more news soon.
Here is a short preview – a conversation with one of the original Guerrilla Girls recorded at the Walsh Art Gallery at Fairfield University earlier this year (Thanks to Carey Weber)! Yes, the feminist art protest group is celebrating their thirtieth year of existence, and they’ve done an amazing job of bringing awareness to inequality in the art world. They’re never dull, that’s for sure!
